2009 Holiday Seaon
Ahhhhh, yet another holiday season is right around the corner. What a lovely time as we spend time with family and friends. I love the decorations, the music in the stores, the smells of turkey roasting, the fireplace crackling. It all makes a beautiful backdrop for celebrating our blessings and the birth of our Savior.
The holidays are wonderful but do add some hustle and bustle to our already full lives. It’s a fight not to get lost in the fast pace. So, it’s important to remember and take a deep breath (literally), focus on God and be grateful for how He loves us. When all is said and done I'm sure we won’t be disappointed that we didn’t buy more presents or spend more money. What will bring us joy, and what has eternal value, is that we our out love for others and enjoy time with family and friends.
My wish for you this holiday season is that you are aware of God’s love demonstrated by the small wonders that surround us everyday. I pray that you and your family will experience peace and joy overflowing. Share the gift of love with the world around you and shine the light of Jesus to those near and far.
